Lightning Sustainment Operations Center Manager with Security Clearance

This position is Lockheed Martin's F-35 Lightning Sustainment Operations Center Manager at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), Ohio reporting to the F-35 Global Sustainment Senior Manager. The successful candidate will lead a large team to provide 24/7/365 primary, first-line sustainment support for all F-35 global customers and sites. This position serves as the conduit between internal and external customers and F-35 Sustainment organizations including Sustaining Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Sustainment Performance Management, Field Operations, Support Equipment, Training, and others as needed. Additional responsibilities include:
• Key leadership role ensuring F-35 Operations Center processes are executed in accordance with guidance and effectively provide sustainment support to global F-35 customers.
• Represent LM during recurring meetings with senior customer and partner leadership (military and civilian)
• Assess organizational performance to propose/implement new processes and best practices to provide world class sustainment support the growing F-35 fleet.
• The F-35 Ops Center is a 24/7/365 operation, and while this position is primarily day shift, there may be circumstances that require the candidate to work different shifts and days as needed. Shifts could include first, second, and third. Work days may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Conduct Operations Center briefings and tours to internal and external customers regarding the activities of F-35 Operations Center.
• Must be a United States citizen. Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. aerafs
Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
• 5 years fighter aircraft sustainment experience with 2 years F-35 experience
• Experience leading, coaching and developing high performing teams
• Experience communicating, both written and verbal, across all levels of an organization, functions and teams
• Experience in the recruitment and/or development of talent to strengthen the organization
• Experience in the use of MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Customer Support experience
• Current US Secret Level Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline
• Experience at multiple levels of maintenance, logistics, and support for 5th generation fighter aircraft
• Experience in a fast paced, dynamic, Operations Center or Headquarters type of environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with Earned Value Management System
• Experience with Project Management or Sharepoint
• Must be able to obtain F-35 Program access

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
