Lightning II Joint Program Office

Position Description This Contract Specialist position is located in the F-35 Joint Program Office, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Arlington, VA. The position supports cradle to grave contracting requirements for the F-35 program. This includes the design, development, procurement, operation, and maintenance of F-35 aircraft, F135 engines, and associated equipment to support the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, international partner nations, and multiple Foreign Military Sales customers. Position Duties/Responsibilities You will prepare and conduct all major project contract negotiations, considering all facts and circumstances surrounding the particular procurement.
You will negotiate a contract for each procurement tailored to obtain the required weapons systems at the time required.
You will coordinate and determine the part which NAVAIR engineering, production, statistical, legal, and logistical personnel, auditors and field representatives are to play in the data and negotiations.
