The eXportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) Program is the Army National Guard (ARNG) capstone training event for Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) to attain T-Level 3 (T3) training readiness. This position is a fulltime Exempt (salary) position supporting the XCTC Program and may support work originating at any, or all of the multiple scheduled locations of these events. The XCTC Life Cycle Engineer primarily works in the Louisville, KY warehouse, but supports exercises with field operations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Develop LCM plans for XCTC program.
• Develop Project Cost Evaluations for program.
• Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analysis in support of Life Cycle Management documents and/or Project Cost Evaluations supporting Subsequent License Renewal Feasibility Studies.
• Monitor changing trends and maintain knowledge of program requirements, guidelines, practices, and industry standards of the XCTC and FLEX Train system.
• Review, edit, and approve documents in the preparation of Life Cycle Management documents and/or Project Cost Evaluations.
• Develop relationships with current and potential clients and staff with regular interface to ensure client satisfaction as well as pro-active identification of support opportunities.
• Provide input to project/program work schedule regarding the duration/scope of program issues and the time/scope/effort involved in resolving them in order to implement project.
• Support/review studies, conceptual design and modification packages for impact on system basis, and screening/safety evaluations. QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of experience 6 months + of it spent developing life cycle management plans and/or project cost evaluations.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of processes supporting design and licensing of systems including the documentation that supports these processes.
• Preparation of life cycle management plan documents and/or project cost evaluation documents.
• Ability to represent company with clients.
• Must have strong organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated competencies in technical writing, facilitation, and decision-making.
• Ability to work in time constraining environment while maintaining a quality product.
• Must be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environment.
• Provide direct project support as an individual contributor.
• Technical proficiency in understanding general engineering and design.
• Required to travel up to 25% of the time; duration of travel length varying depending on project and client needs.
• Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication, with strong attention to detail and an ability to interact effectively with people of varying technical abilities (engineers, technicians, and military personnel).
• Demonstrates flexible team-oriented attitude; adapts to changing requirements.
• Able to perform well and adapt in high-stress, fast-paced environments. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
