Licensed Vocational Nurse

Duties of Licensed Vocational Nurse-LVN

1. Performs routine LVN work.
2. Prepares and administers medication.
3. Transcribes physician's orders.
4. Performs focused care & treatment of clients.
5. Documentation: patient behaviors, medication administration, condition changes and other changes
6. Maintains accountability of medication.
7. Provides education to client and/or family.

Job Requirements for all applicants:
Must be licensed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and able to practice in Texas.
Experience in responding to medical/psychiatric crises.
Direct patient care experience, preferred.
Experience in providing care for emotionally disturbed individuals

Other:

• Must have a valid photo ID
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification (BLS).
• Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months.
• Flu Vaccination record if taken.
• Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check
• Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check
