The Client Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists in providing clinical services in a unique retail setting. Under the supervision of a Client Nurse Practitioner, the LPN will assist with greeting patients, taking vitals, completes accurate patient documentation via computerized charting, as well as duties such as supply ordering, inventory and weekly patient logs.
Position Summary:
The Client Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists in providing clinical services in a unique retail setting. Under the supervision of a Client Nurse Practitioner, the LPN will assist with greeting patients, taking vitals, completes accurate patient documentation via computerized charting, as well as duties such as supply ordering, inventory and weekly patient logs.
Clinic hours of operation: M-F:830a-730p, Sa:9a-530p, Su:9a-430p. Typically the work schedule is 2-3 week days and every other weekend.
Duties:
Assess patients during intake
Take vital signs
Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG, Retinopathy screening
Perform Point of care testing (including COVID testing)
Perform patient registration and intake, assist with wait room management and other responsibilities to enhance the patient experience.
Order equipment and prepare the clinic for the best patient experience
Help meet our mission to help people on their path to better health by providing excellent patient-focused connections and activities
Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services
Administer vaccine injections
Experience:
Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting
Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record
Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws and perform Point of Care Testing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol is required.
Education:
The LPN/LVN must have a full, active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.
