Licensed Vocational Nurse

JOB SUMMARY Responsible, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse for providing direct patient care, administering treatments and medications, making rounds and assisting the physicians and interacting with other hospital departments. Also, performs clerical duties and schedules patient appointments. Reports directly to the Nurse Manager of the unit. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Completion of Vocational Nursing Program or Associate Degree in Nursing Minimum Work Experience 1 year Required Licenses/Certifications Licensed Vocational Nurse BLS Certification Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Deal effectively with hospital and other contract personnel Excellent human relations and oral/written skills Maintains patient charting in the Electronic Medical Records ( EMR) Ability to perform tests on cardiology equipment Ability to schedule patient appointments in the EMR Answers telephone and coordinate information to the Facility manger and Nurse Manager JOB SUMMARY Responsible, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse for providing direct patient care, administering treatments and medications, making rounds and assisting the physicians and interacting with other hospital departments.
