Licensed Veterinary Technician

Mobley Veterinary Clinic is located in East Nashville, TN. We have been serving pets of Nashville, Madison, Rivergate, Inglewood, Hermitage, and Old Hickory since the 1950's. We are full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats. We welcome both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. On top of that, we also offer in-house boarding and grooming services. Here at Mobley Veterinary Clinic we treat our client's pets as we would our own with a goal to practice quality medicine with an emphasis on client education. Licensed Veterinary Technician Requirements
Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
Associate degree in Veterinary Technology

Licensed Veterinary Technician Responsibilities
Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring
Competently perform dental prophylaxis
