Midlothian Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. Located in Midlothian, VA, we have the serving the pets in our community for 40+ years. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats and offer services such as routine medical, surgical, and dental care. Licensed Veterinary Technician Role Requirements

Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
Associate degree in Veterinary Technology

Licensed Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms
Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members
Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring
Competently perform dental prophylaxis
