Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Baylor : - Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents daily and as needed.
- Provide bedside care. Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
- Assist with resident comfort.
- Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
- Collect samples and monitor catheters.
- Take TPR (temperature, pulse, & rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.
- Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
- Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Baylor: - Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with current state license.
- Must have a current/active CPR certification.
- Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift fifty (50) or more pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
- Able to stand and/or walk for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Able to bend and/or stoop for more than one (1) hour at a time.
