Responsibilities:
- Conduct nursing assessments for all admitted clients and document as per protocols.
- Monitor clients undergoing detox, including vital signs and assessment tools.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse effects.
- Facilitate consultations and assist in discharge planning.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacology and provide client education on medical issues.
- Lead group sessions and provide in-service training.
Requirements:
- Diploma Degree in Nursing.
- Preferably one-year experience in substance abuse and psychiatric treatment.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and common computer programs -KIPU preferred
