Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Duties:

Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients within a correctional facility, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living.

Health Assessments: Conduct initial health assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients, identifying and documenting any changes in health status or needs.

Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions as needed, including CPR, first aid, and crisis management.

Health Education: Educate patients on preventive health measures, disease management, and medication adherence to promote overall well-being and reduce the risk of illness or injury.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, correctional staff, and external agencies to coordinate patient care, ensure safety protocols are followed, and facilitate the transfer of patients as needed for specialized treatment or services.

Job Requirements:

Experience: 2 years of Correctional LPN experience preferred

Requirements: BLS

LPN Active License
