Licensed Practical Nurse

UPMC Cole Memorial Medical Group is currently hiring for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient float pool team. This is a Monday through Friday, dayshift position with no weekend or holiday commitments. These are 8-hour shifts, as scheduled, between 7:30am and 6:30pm. (including new grads) + $7,500 - 2yr Commitment More than 1-year exp. Purpose: Provides professional nursing care to office patients under the supervision of patient care providers. Responsibilities: + Draw blood. + Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). + Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drips. + Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. + Assess the patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. + Comply with all policies and procedures. + Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. + Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. + Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. + Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions. + Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. + Flexibility to travel and work from different offices.
