Licensed Practical Nurse

Part-time position

Evaluating resident needs is a key part of the daily responsibilities. Additionally, you will help develop individual care plans, oversee and direct the efforts of the unlicensed caregiving team, and provide general nursing care to residents while compassionately attending to their medical and emotional needs. Knowledge of and compliance with regulatory requirements and the standards of excellence established by The Admiral is a must-know.

A typical day may include:

  • Ensuring temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital sign checks, including pacemaker checks, are completed and recorded
  • Responding and reacting to emergency calls from residents
  • Notifying physicians, supervisor, family or other appropriate personnel when an unusual resident condition exists

Qualifications:

  • Must possess knowledge and background in geriatric health care, including infection control, safety, home health business practices and personnel administration
  • Valid LPN license
  • 2-4 years of related experience (preferred)
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, prioritize work and address emergencies as they may occur
  • Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations, as well as knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing long-term care
