Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to function on the advanced level of practical nursing while providing direct patient care and treatment for the mentally ill. The Licensed Practical Nurse III Advanced, CI is responsible for the coordination and execution of various educational programs for patients and staff. These duties are under general supervision by an RN and the assignments are performed in a team relationship according to compliance with the statutes and regulations governing nursing and their standard of practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education:Determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Practical Nurses

Experience:Three years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Note:Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classificationsor Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in theNursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the requiredexperience.
