The LPN is responsible for floating throughout the region providing patient care services, determining medical conditions, and preparing patients for examination and treatment under the direction of the Provider.
In a Clinical Training capacity, the LPN is also responsible for identifying and implementing Clinical back-office staff training needs and may also periodically co-monitor and evaluate staff performance and provide guidance for performance, improvement, and adherence to state and federal guidelines and requirements. The Clinical Trainer will oversee clinical and administrative aspects for new hire back-office staff. The Clinical Trainer will ensure the competency of the In-Clinic Trainer for their respective area. In addition, the Clinical Trainer will also be responsible for providing patient care services, determining medical conditions, and preparing patients for examination and treatment under the direction of the Provider.

LPN Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Assist in determining medical problems, initiates and maintains intravenous lines, administers fluids and medications as directed through provider orders.
Collaborate with providers and other medical staff when examining or treating patients, giving injections, removing sutures, and applying splints and dressings.
Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under providers orders.
Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through routine in-house testing procedures, and analyze and prepare for testing, log results, and perform lab call-backs.
Prepares exam/treatment rooms; select, setup, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures.
Document basic patient care and procedures, utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records.
Instructs patients and family regarding treatment and medication instructions.
Collaborate, take direction, and initiate actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional team actions to ensure seamless patient care.
Perform opening/closing clinic duties and patient call backs.

Clinical Trainer Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Present training, compliance, and performance improvement support to our Clinical Operations team through creative instructional techniques and methods.
Maintain documentation of training participation. Monitor training metrics to measure and improve the performance of individuals and teams.
Match the learning needs of clinical back-office staff with educational programs designed to meet Urgent Care, Occupational Medical and Primary Care demands.
Assess and track the educational needs of staff then coordinate training programs with Clinical Operations team based on identified needs.
Combine strong clinical skills with a compassionate, engaged personality and a dedication to ensuring exceptional training outcomes and a high degree of trainee satisfaction.
Works in coordination with Operations Leadership to assure that all back-office staff are trained, and their competencies have been vetted.
Maintains records and accuracy of clinical training documentation.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Ability to train and evaluate new and current team members. Demonstrated skills in medical practice management. Demonstrated effective written, verbal, and electronic communication that is professional in both content and delivery. Demonstrated ability to gain trust and respect of the providers, team members, and peers. Effectively models interpersonal and problem-solving skills to aid in the resolution of issues in a timely manner. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise. Strong interpersonal skills.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Certificate/License: Current LPN license is required. Current BLS certification is required.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of LPN experience in a health care organization is required. Medical group or ambulatory care experience preferred.
