Shift:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm w/ rotating weekends
Monday - Friday 12:30pm - 9:00pm w/ rotating weekends
Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 10:00pm w/ rotating weekends
Monday - Friday 7:00pm - 3:30am w/ rotating weekends
Monday - Friday 9:00pm - 5:30am

Pay: $21 per hour, plus $1 shift differential for 1:30-9:30 shifts

Job Summary:

As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the accurate and efficient processing of prescription orders within our closed-door pharmacy. Your primary responsibility will be to triage, interpret, and input medication orders into our computerized system, ensuring precision and adherence to pharmacy standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will contribute to the seamless flow of prescription processing, ultimately supporting our goal of providing exceptional pharmaceutical services to our clients.

Responsibilities:
Triage, Interpret, and input orders into the computerized medication order system, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards are met
Perform drug calculations, including basic mathematical conversions (i.e. Milligrams)
Resolve issues of denials identified through adjudication and follow-up claims in Point of Sales (POS)
Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims pending follow-up
Provide excellent customer service to external and internal customers in line with company values
Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
Perform other assigned tasks, including assisting in any area of the pharmacy directed by management
Wear a headset to answer calls
Use a computer for typing, looking up information, inputting data, and navigating through multiple applications and monitors simultaneously
Support incoming call volume

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, required
Pharmacy Technician License: as required by state regulations and business needs
1+ years of pharmacy technician experience plus 6+ months of pharmacy data entry experience required
Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and the metric system
Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player
Effective oral communication
Able to support high-volume calls and orders
Able to work overtime and/or extended hours as needed (i.e. extended shift hours, hours exceeding 40 hrs/week, and open shift coverage)
Able to type a minimum of 40 wpm
