Summary : Working within the State of Wisconsin professional counselor's scope of practice, the Licensed Mental Health Clinician provides evaluation and treatment services for individual, family, and group therapy to primarily adult patients. Utilizes evidence-based practice to anticipate expected patient outcomes, which support the mental health diagnosis. We are looking to add a full time clinician to our team to treat patients with disordered eating as we work to expand our overall scope of specialty care. Job Description: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Assesses, diagnoses when necessary, and evaluates patient's status and the effectiveness of mental health care using tools deemed appropriate by clinical setting, such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, to create an individualized plan of care that includes cultural diversity and special needs appropriate to the patient population served. 2. Continually assesses patient's progress and provides interventions and strategies to support the mental health diagnosis. 3. Prepares and maintains all required treatment records, reports, and other clinical information on time and accurately using current technology in accordance with regulatory requirements and department procedures. 4. Works collaboratively with the patient and others to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the needs of the patient, desired outcomes, and agreed upon plan of care. 5. Develops treatment plans and objectives in collaboration with patient and family, as appropriate, based on patient needs/goals. Anticipates and intervenes in areas of patient safety and symptom reduction. Is able to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals. 6. Coordinates referral options and serves as a link between patients and treatment providers. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other clinicians or other referral agencies 7. Provides education and mentoring for students, interns, residents, observers and volunteers. 8. With direction from your clinical supervisor, you may be asked to provide peer-to-peer review, clinical collaboration, chart auditing, coaching and mentoring in an effort to support team member development. QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in mental health or counseling Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required for inpatient and day treatment settings Current State of Wisconsin License as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties WORK ENVIRONMENT: Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers Position requires compliance with department specific competencies. Full time, various locations-Neenah/Menasha, The Cancer Center, Shawano and New London (part time).
