Duties Performs contract management oversight and surveillance of assigned PEO STRI maintenance and sustainment contracts. Ensures integration within the Command/Installation senior training leadership team. Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or alternate COR for all assigned projects. Provides the project guidance and priorities and reviews documentation in support of the goals of PEO STRI to include user activities. Ensures that PMs are made aware of installation shortfalls that will impact new device fielding and upgrades to existing devices. Keeps PEO STRI aware of changes at the installation that will impact training enabler requirements. Manages the logistical support contract quality assurance surveillance program (QASP) for the installation. Prepares and presents formal and informal information and decision briefings to the Installation/Activity Commanders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. One year trial/probationary period may be required. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time. Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (A) Program Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Promoting teamwork, coordination, and cooperation while serving on a team to assist key stakeholders such as Program Managers, Contracting Officers Representatives, Unit Commanders/Key Staff Officers/Training Managers to execute an organizations mission requirements; 2) Managing requirements, resources, cost, schedule, and risk management with near-term and strategic planning; 3) Leading, planning, coordinating, and facilitating critical meetings, program reviews, Integrated Product Team (IPT's), and training and maintenance program reviews to set conditions for productive events; AND 4) Communicating effectively verbally and in writing to supervisors and key counterparts/stakeholders while assisting in the development and implementation of solutions to issues/concerns. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
