Job Description

Loan Protection Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Review GAP Services Application ( 298A) for completeness and accuracy to determine if additional information and/or supporting documentation is required from the member.
• Process 298A's and make decisions within established guidelines and policies by transfer, finance, cancel, refinance or to send a letter for incorrect 298's received.
• Research, analyze and resolve 298A discrepancies.
• Receive guidance and instructions from Loan Protection supervisors regarding complex issues that are beyond scope for your review.
• Maintain detailed records and contact history information on each member interaction and actions taken on your excel spreadsheet.
• Communicate with members via eMessage for 298A questions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in progressively responsible administrative work.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Effective organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions.
• Effective database, word processing, and spreadsheet software skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
