We are on the lookout for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced legal firm. This role is integral to our team, requiring a professional with a robust understanding of legal procedures, client communication, and document management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the legal industry, specifically in a legal assistant role or similar. You will be expected to be a self-starter, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and performing under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and compile data for case preparation.
  • Prepare, proofread, and revise legal documents and correspondence ensuring legal compliance.
  • Manage legal filing systems, ensuring that all documents are properly organized and easily accessible.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and resolving any conflicts that may arise.
  • Coordinate and manage case schedules, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Assist in case management, ensuring that all cases are progressing timely and efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team, including drafting and proofreading correspondence, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
  • Use critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems, making sure every case is handled effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the team on project management, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a legal assistant role or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of legal procedures and terminology.
  • Proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and document review.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in file management and legal document preparation.
  • Strong client communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in legal administration and case management.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
