Primrose School of Mt. Juliet is looking for a full-time Director. Primrose School of Mt. Juliet is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier early education and child care experience for children and families. We provide year-round full and part-time education for infants and children starting at six weeks of age to five years with an additional after school program. To operate the school in accordance with Primrose School of Mt. Juliet vision, mission, policies and procedures and state licensing standards. Provide a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children, parents, and staff. Promote the Primrose School of Mt. Juliet in the community to build awareness, enrollment, and achieve planned profitability. Qualifications: Must meet the director requirements of local child care regulatory agency and Primrose School of Mt. Juliet training requirements. A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field, and/or at least two years' work experience in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten or early childhood program required. Experience in childcare management team. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Skills: Extensive knowledge of DOE/DHS licensing regulations Strong leadership skills Competent and confident Excellent verbal and written communication skills High integrity Good listening and follow-up skills High coping capabilities Ability to provide constructive feedback and advice Able to work with others harmoniously Solution and detail-oriented Strong organizational skills Ability to learn computer software Admissions experience Recruitment/hiring experience Willing to drive small bus Staff Evaluations Responsibilities: Provides superior customer service to all customers. Implements the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit. Knowledge of and adheres to employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws. Selects, hires, orientates, trains, and evaluates all staff in accordance with Primrose School of Mt. Juliet and state licensing requirements and policies and procedures. Attend all school events, functions, open houses, etc. Keep school physically well kept, attractive, and safe. Have all playgrounds and equipment checked on a regular basis for repairs and/or maintenance. Ability to perform all of the functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other Leadership Team positions, teacher, Food Service Teacher, and Bus Driver.
