Position Title : Lead Systems Engineer

Job Description :

Support multi-vendor Global environment for all Network Security technologies. Provide the safekeeping and integrity of information assets by maintaining systems and controls that prevent unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, and/or deletion of information from production systems networks and resources. Implement cyber security controls to ensure the safety of systems from cyber-attack. Provide advocacy for choosing, implementing, and performing operational management of cyber technologies. These technologies include but are not limited to Firewalls, Antivirus Sandboxing, URL Filtering, Web Application Firewalls, DDoS prevention and Internet Protocol routing technologies as well as all network infrastructure. Implement Cyber Security tools related to core network function to maintain data security in Wellington's Data Centers, Amazon Web Services Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 Services. Provide advocacy during the design and development of network security focusing on Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Endpoint Protection, Key Management and Access Controls. Define and validate systems against security requirements. Maintain alignment of Cyber Security vision with business objectives and requirements. Resolve network and network security incidents independently. Work with various vendors in resolving support cases, RMAs, platform upgrades and refreshes. Plan and execute network and security changes with proper anticipation of risk, outage, and impact. Communicate impact of network related issues to other IT teams as well as with other key stake holders. Produce accurate and well-organized documentation including playbooks, reports, and design drawings. Deliver all activities according to well established standards and procedures. Position is fixed location based in Boston office, however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Job Requirements :

Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a directly related field plus four (4) years of network security systems administration experience.

Must have four (4) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Experience with TCP/IP stack and application protocols, including DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SNMP, or NTP
  • Experience with network security concepts, including firewall and proxy management, VPN, NAC, IPS/IDS, or end host security
  • Experience with network monitoring, management, and analysis tools, including Infoblox, Cisco Prime, PRTG, Kibana, or WireShark
  • Experience with ITIL processes and procedures, including Change and Incident Management

Must have three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Experience with networking protocols and concepts, including BGP, OSPF, VRF, NAT, Clustering, High Availability, Load Balancing, and QoS
  • Working with global enterprise MPLS WAN connectivity solutions and SD-WAN concepts
  • Experience in Splunk, Query Writing, and Dashboard Building
  • Experience with public cloud concepts, including AWS and Azure

Must have two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Experience with basic scripting and automation skills

Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) plus seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate network security systems administration experience.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, $158,000-170,000/year.
