Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Lead Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Leading and managing a team of structural engineers and drafters, providing technical guidance and mentoring as needed.
2. Developing and implementing detailed structural designs using Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
3. Coordinating with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the integration of the structural design with other project components.
4. Performing structural analysis and calculations to ensure design integrity and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
5. Reviewing and approving structural designs, plans, and specifications prepared by team members.
6. Conducting site inspections to verify the implementation of designs and to ensure quality control.
7. Participating in project meetings and presenting structural design concepts and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in structural engineering and integrating new technologies and methodologies into the design process.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Lead Structural Engineer position, you must have:

1. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A master's degree in Structural Engineering is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in structural engineering, including experience in a leadership role.
3. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant structural design software.
4. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design innovative structural solutions.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
7. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
8. A proven track record of managing and delivering structural engineering projects on time and within budget.
9. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and to lead and motivate a team.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
