We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Consumer Innovations Team. In this pivotal role, you will be part of the team dedicated to delivering a best-in-class experience for our customers. The Consumer Innovations team spearheads creating new cutting-edge products that captivate and engage our users. Notably, products like DK Social, Betting Groups, DK Search and Instant Tennis have become key offerings in our portfolio. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will collaborate across teams to design stable and efficient user experiences, ensuring seamless interactions for customers and scalability for all our products. You will tackle critical business challenges and play a significant role in the success of our innovative solutions.

What you'll do as a Lead Software Engineer
  • Take ownership for the design, development, maintenance, testing strategy, and operations of a full-stack team, with API services written primarily in C with SQL databases hosted in AWS, Front End Single Page Applications written primarily in Node.JS, React, and Redux, and native iOS and Android applications.

  • Collaborate closely and effectively with cross-functional teams and a diverse group of stakeholders and business leads to understand business vision and requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Take an active part in all development stages - building the architectural design of new features, breakdown, and implementation.

  • Work with your team under fast deadlines to design, build, and deliver innovative applications.

  • Lead your team in design sessions and ensure your team delivers high-quality work that aligns with the missions of our applications and platform.

  • Mentor and train software engineers to ensure that they have the necessary skills to grow and be successful in their roles.

What you'll bring
  • You have experience as the expert' on a development team where you were responsible for everything from planning to delivering key features and management of those features.

  • Expertise with modern client JS frameworks, like Node.JS, TypeScript, React, and Redux as well as AWS services and infrastructure.

  • Experience using Front End tooling such as Webpack and NPM, with knowledge of current best practices and async programming patterns.

  • Good understanding of data structures, web performance optimizations and limitations.

  • You also have the ability to write automated comprehensive test suites at all levels of the architecture.

  • Experience with .NET Framework or .NET Core is a bonus .

  • Experience with relational databases like MySQL or SQL Server is a bonus.

The US base salary range for this Full time position is $132,000.00 - $198,000.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
