Job Description
  • We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Lead Service Technician. This is an union position.
  • The Lead Service Technician is a hands-on in the field technician who addresses high level diagnostic issues with responsibility for supporting the Technicians and/ or Service Manager in technical support for technicians; developing technician talent through teaching, coaching, and training; assessing technician skill sets to provide feedback and promote growth.
  • The Lead Service Technician will report to the Service Manager and support dispatch and Branch Manager in allocation of the company's team member resources to meet our client's needs.


Responsibilities
  • Become proficient with service / management software.
  • Lead high level diagnostic issues.
  • Provide technical support to technicians.
  • Qualify Technicians' skill sets and capabilities on a routine basis to align for success.
  • Support the service staff with gathering information for proposals.
  • Support management with PM quality control.


Qualifications
  • 5 + years commercial HVAC service experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial HVAC systems and components.
  • Specific knowledge, skills, and experience with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, preventative maintenance, refrigeration for HVAC systems, etc.
  • Ability to evaluate and identify client's HVAC issues and develop quality resolutions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as effective computer/ software skills.
