Duties Leading the day-to-day work of subordinates assigned to the team. Lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. Perform related advisory duties regarding the quality and safety programs. Provide recommendations and/or alternatives to aid headquarters in making a final decision. Investigate delays and major problem areas to determine causes of same and corrective action required. Monitor contractors compliance with operations and safety programs and the inspection of worksites. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 10% of the time. Position requires a valid driver's license. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1. experience monitoring contractor's compliance with operations and safety programs; 2. experience providing guidance in the daily evaluation and surveillance of the contractors quality assurance and safety programs; 3. experience conducting in-process audits and inspections to identify areas of deficiency and recommending methods of improvement to production and quality management programs and processes; and 4. experience with quality assurance functions related to the production, inspection, and procurement processes.
