Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to nursing and ancillary personnel, commensurate with their scope of practice. Shall provide clinical expertise in all patient care areas and promotes the use of best practices. Participates in staff selection, performance evaluations, quality improvement, and mentoring of staff. Facilitates training of new team members on policies, procedures, and to ensure adherence to department practices. Assists in achieving budgetary goals while maintaining staffing, equipment, and supply requirements. Assists in managing projects/initiatives as delegated by department Manager or Director. Facilitates Lean Daily Management activities. Qualifications Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: BSN and either a master's in a related field or certificate in nursing or health care administration from a nationally recognized accrediting organization. Master degree may be in progress as long as they are completed within one year of hire. Three years of full time clinical nursing experience with a minimum of one year neonatal nursing in a level III/IV NICU. CA RN License BLS PALS NRP RNC-NIC within 6 months of hire or transfer Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification: Previous clinical supervisor experience in acute care setting Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
