The selected candidate will be part of an exclusive national security program and work on the design, development, deployment, operation and maintenance for critical space vehicle and payload programs. Bring your talents to the front line at the cutting edge of Defense and Technology at L3Harris. Essential Functions: IP Network Architecture of Space or Space Ground Systems
Working with hardware architects, define Space Vehicle network hardware subcomponents for complex network functionality including major features of management, control, and data planes
Working with a subcontractor or hardware development teams to ensure functionality and defining all required software protocol standards and related interdependencies for a complete network hardware solution
Strong Knowledge of Queuing Theory and Quality of Services nuances Ability to devolve MPLS (and routing protocols) atomic functions and design networks based on modified protocols
Author of YANG network models for non-COTS hardware in development
Network Management design and implementation for Space networks
Work must be accomplished onsite Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of relevant experience or, Graduate Degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 3 certification Active TS/SCI PreferredAdditional Skills: Design and implementation of network management systems using NETCONF/SNMP
MPLS Architecture, minimum 5 years at a Service Provide or as SP to a sub-system
AWS Secure Architecture
HAIPE configuration experience
Quality of Service design background
CCSDS and Space Protocol Stack Analysis, understanding of TM, TC and SpaceWire protocol implementations
Able to enumerate the complexities of MTU traversing Space and Ground Systems (RF, Optical)
Strong understanding of Control, Data and Management Planes
Juniper and Cisco Configuration skills, Juniper NETCONF skills
Juniper and AWS Certifications preferred. Able to learn non-typical technologies like microprocessor features or unusual protocols
Network Test and Test Engineering support
Computer Engineering and Software Experience is strongly desired
High level of technical flexibility and personal adaptability
Researcher level skills in network engineering with extremely high level of focus
Customer Technical Interaction and presentations
Guiding diverse groups toward implementable solutions
Open forum experience with customers and competitors present
Exceptionally strong learning skills exercised weekly to work new technologies frequently
Self-motivation, able to work well independently and within inter-disciplinary engineering teams Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong Documentation skills
Recommending and implementing engineering design changes required to adapt technical requirements
Support critical operations during standard and non-standard working hours
TS/SCI with Poly is highly desired.
