BlueCross BlueShield Tennessee is recruiting the next Lead Medical Director for their Medicare Advantage program. This is a remote position, but applicants must have an active Tennessee medical license
Highlights of the role:
• Fully Remote position, can live anywhere in the United States (excludes CA, MA, NH, NJ, NY due to state law, tax code, regulatory restrictions)
• Identify and execute opportunities to improve quality, utilization, outcomes, member satisfaction and more.
• Oversee a team of 5+ medical physicians and serve as a cross-functional liaison for operations, case management, utilization mgmt, provider outreach, and others
• Reports to and directly consults with the Chief Medical Officer; excellent opportunity for professional development.
• Realistic earning potential in the high $300,000's along with an excellent benefits package.
Qualifications:
• Previous Medicare Advantage experience in the insurance industry required
• Utilization Management proficiency preferred
• Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine preferred but not required
• Previous leadership responsibility and experience overseeing other providers
• Must have active Tennessee medical license
