Job Details

1. Work Plant Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor in determining daily and weekly Maintenance Mechanic work requirements and scheduling work.
2. Assign daily work to Maintenance Mechanics. Assist in organization and expediting completion of work assignments.
3. Take periodic inventories of maintenance supplies, tools and prepare ordering information for purchasing.
4. Visual inspection of maintenance jobs in progress and upon completion to ensure that quality standards are being met.
5. Direct, organize and schedule preventive maintenance and lubrication on production machinery and other plant equipment and facilities by the preventive maintenance program.
6. Build and install new equipment for plant improvement projects and make new tooling and equipment for replacement of worn-out items.
7. Repair broken or defective equipment as scheduled
8. Assist production personnel with mechanical, electrical or other operational problems with any plant equipment.
9. Coordinate, scheduled and assist in performance of emergency maintenance work on a rush basis when production is adversely affected or directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
10. Maintain preventive maintenance, tools and parts, and training records which are necessary. Prepare periodic status reports from these records as necessary.
11. Originate necessary work orders and plan, schedule and expedite completion of such work orders as approved by the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor. Maintain work order log and files and prepare periodic status reports.
12. Assist Maintenance Supervisor in the training and orientation of Maintenance Mechanic employees
13. Attend training programs or sessions to improve level of knowledge and skills consistent with the other job requirements.
14. Inform Supervisor of needed parts, equipment or training requirements
15. Keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all possible times
16. Wear and maintain in good condition all personal safety devices required and work in a safe and efficient manner at all times
17. Develop and maintain a good attendance and employment record
18. Any and all other duties outlined and requested by immediate supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant trade qualification preferred
Proven experience in a supervisory/ Lead role within the maintenance field
Strong knowledge of industrial PLC's, manufacturing equipment, machinery and systems
Proficient in diagnosing mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment issues
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and blue prints
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Stong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various departments
Needs to have experience working on equipment using 480v and higher.
