We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Lead Inspector to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in managing and coordinating various engineering projects, predominantly within government municipalities and urban development. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to demonstrate their expertise in areas such as road and highway construction, flood risk management, bridge construction, and more.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Lead Inspector, your daily duties will include:

1. Conducting pre-build inspections and creating detailed plan sets and specifications for various projects.
2. Overseeing and coordinating with contractors to ensure project completion within the set timeframe and budget.
3. Performing regular inspections of roads, highways, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
4. Managing checklists and conducting quantity calculations for various projects.
5. Collaborating with the Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) and local municipalities on project planning and execution.
6. Implementing and maintaining OSHA safety standards across all projects.
7. Conducting flood risk management and flood diversion tasks.
8. Performing regular testing and inspections to ensure the safety and quality of construction projects.
9. Providing detailed reports on project progress, including any potential issues or delays.
10. Ensuring all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Lead Inspector role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
2. Proven experience working with government municipalities, roads or highways, cities, DOTS, flood risk management, flood diversion, bridges, and OSHA.
3. Extensive knowledge of plan sets, specifications, pre-build, and project completion.
4. Demonstrated experience in coordinating with contractors and managing checklists.
5. Proficiency in quantity calculations and testing.
6. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction projects.
7. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
10. Certifications related to safety management and construction inspection would be a plus.
