Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic with Security Clearance

Tunista Logistics Solutions LLC Regular PRIMARY FUNCTION Heavy Equipment Mechanic repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, Heavy Equipment, Fire Trucks, Dump Trucks or tractors. Work involves most of the following: Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; Replacing transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems, Hydraulic systems. In general, the work of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct supervisory responsibilities. However, position does assign work orders and prioritize work to appropriate staff. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Heavy Equipment and Fire Truck Maintenance.
Repair/Replace tires.
Trouble shooting electrical, hydraulic, fuel delivery system, engine diagnostics.
Must be able to communicate clearly with customers. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 4 years' experience.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a current drivers license.
Must be able to pass a back ground check to work on Base.
