Lead Financial Analyst Description If you are an A-player and looking to add value to a growing organization, this might be the opportunity for you. Our client is looking for an experienced financial analyst to join their team as a Lead Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analytics, supporting business profitability improvements and other growth initiatives, as well as financial planning and analysis responsibilities such as budgeting, projections and various financial modeling and management reporting.
Additional responsibilities:
-Analysis of monthly results including merchandise and service revenue profitability, working capital performance, and performance against other planned and historical key metrics.
-Preparation of monthly variance/financial analysis summarizing key drivers of differences between period and year-to-date actual vs. budget/projection vs. prior year comparable periods.
-Creating effective and concise BOD and other management presentations.
-Identification and communication of the relevant drivers of periodic (weekly, monthly, etc.) financial performance.
-Analysis of return on invested capital for business growth initiatives (i.e., new product offerings, new sales/warehousing/distribution operations, etc.)
-Providing management with the appropriate analyses to facilitate/support financial decisions.

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA/MS or equivalent work experience preferred
-6+ years of work experience in a financial analysis/accounting capacity
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills while being detail orientated
-Ability to think creatively and articulate recommendations for changes/improvements
-Demonstrated experience leveraging large databases for analysis
-Independent, self-starter with a strong desire to promote and implement continuous improvement opportunities
-Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections (P&L, balance sheet and cash flows)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to successfully interact with management throughout the organization
-Strong Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP and Cognos preferred
