Lead Design Engineer - Air Springs

Responsibilities

Oversee the drafting of components based on specification of requirements (SOR) in coordination with the AT team along the ProMaP workflow from the pre-development phase to SOP.
Coordinate with Application Team to develop first concept in accordance with the OEM requirements.
Responsible for standards and requirements from specific OEM.
Secure quality, task scheduling and on-time delivery for all design engineering activities including evaluation of internal and external capacities.
Responsible for robust and cost efficient concepts and designs
Responsible for implementation of guidelines and standards for internal and external parts and components.
Engineering interface for SCM and PPAP topics with suppliers.
Perform activities related to design from RFQ to design freeze, steering the CAD and FEA.
Regularly execute design reviews to validate results and to ensure design quality complying with all standards.
Lead regional innovation and alignment with global innovation activities.
Ensure DVP specifications and requirements according to VC standards.
Qualifications

You hold a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or a comparable education
5+ Years related work experience.
You are experienced in developing NVH solutions including CAD (Catia or NX) and FEA software to build and validate your design
Your analytical thinking and creativity enable you to transfer a mechanical problem into a corresponding design.
Strong communication skills enable you to communicate on eye level with different target groups from management to technical expert.
