We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Data Engineer to join our Analytics and Data team in the Technology industry. This is a permanent position that offers a remarkable opportunity to be a part of a team that stands at the intersection of data, technology, and analytics. Your work will contribute significantly to the insights and decision-making processes of our organization, helping to shape our technological direction and success. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining architectures, such as databases and large-scale processing systems. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ETL flows, Tableau, CRUD Functions, quantitative methods, and data orchestration tools.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of data engineers to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge data solutions.
2. Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
3. Collaborate with data scientists and architects on several projects.
4. Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
5. Write complex queries on large data sets and develop scripts to process, store, and analyze data.
6. Perform detailed analysis of source systems and source system data and model that data in Tableau.
7. Define and manage SLA for all data sets and processes running in production.
8. Develop and implement scripts for database storage, backup, and recovery.
9. Provide technical leadership and coaching to the most junior team members to ensure our team maintains the high standards set and keeps abreast of the latest industry trends.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced, complex business setting.
3. Proven experience with ETL flows, Tableau, CRUD Functions, quantitative methods, and data orchestration tools.
4. Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
5. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
6. Strong understanding of database structure principles.
7. Experience in data warehousing, architecture, and data modeling.
8. Proven ability to lead a team of data engineers effectively.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
10. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
