Videos Help Duties Responsible for administering a variety of service and construction activities in addition to reviewing plans and specifications and monitoring contractor work. The incumbent will serve as Senior Construction Representative leader. Responsible for designating workers for various tasks and assignments, on a day-to-day or project-to-project basis. The incumbent will also specialize in contract construction and maintenance services. Plans, directs and administers numerous service and construction contracts. Develop work plans, specifications, conceptual designs and government cost estimates. Furnishes applicable information and instructions and renders important decisions relative to problems arising from conflicts in plans and specification. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Reading and understanding plans and specifications 2) Inspecting materials and workmanship to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with contractual requirements 3) Reviewing contractor-submitted documents for accuracy and adequacy 4) Providing input to project engineers toward solutions or courses of action required based upon thorough knowledge of contract specifications, common trade practices, and observations made at project sites 5) and furnishing field information for construction progress. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ABILITY TO INTERPRET INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS ETC. (INCLUDING BLUEPRINT READING) Ability to lead or supervise Contract Administration Quality Assurance Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
