We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Full Time Lead Cabling Technician to join our team in the technology industry. This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a group of professionals working on cutting-edge technologies. As a Lead Cabling Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our network cabling systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our data communication systems run smoothly and efficiently, thereby playing a critical role in our company's operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of cabling technicians in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network cabling systems.
  • Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling, including Cat5e/6.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
  • Use a variety of testing devices to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
  • Collaborate with network engineers and other IT professionals to optimize the performance of wired infrastructure.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure the system is working correctly.
  • Document network cabling layout, equipment, and resources used.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians to improve their skills and productivity.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry best practices and emerging technologies in network cabling.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Proven experience with datacomm, Cat5e/6 cabling, Network Cabling, and cabling.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices in network cabling.
  • Proficient in using testing devices to identify and troubleshoot networking issues.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong commitment to safety procedures and protocols.
  • Relevant certifications in network cabling or related field will be an added advantage.
