Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: Trinity Health Mid Atlantic - Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital has an excellent opportunity for a Lead Academic Hospitalist, located in Darby, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician who will provide leadership to the Hospitalist Group at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, collaborating with the CMO of Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital to align the program with the strategic direction and quality initiatives of the organization. The ideal candidate will complement our culture of collaboration, compassion and professionalism while being an advocate for the patient, as well as serving the needs of the hospital. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the candidate seeking full-time employment will be responsible for coordinating daily schedules of the hospitalists, oversight and leadership to hospitalists with regard to strategic alignment with quality, patient safety, patient experience of care, physician satisfaction, denials/downgrades, and other goals of Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, attending and participating in the committees as assigned by the CMO, working with the hospitalist group to ensure excellent and complete clinical documentation, timely response to Clinical Documentation queries, assisting in ensuring compliance with ICD-10 documentation requirements and completion of medical record discharge summaries within 24 hours of discharge. The candidate will also participate in interviewing and on-boarding of all new hospitalists.
