SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Landfill District Operations Manager for its client in Livermore, CA. The person will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and long-term planning of multiple landfill sites within the designated district.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead daily operations, supporting Operations Managers in safety, service, and cost management.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations (Company, OSHA, etc.).
Conduct root cause investigations for injuries/incidents, providing coaching and retraining.
Manage personnel needs: hiring, training, disciplining, and performance evaluations.
Develop short-term and long-term goals with senior management.
Monitor P&L, ensuring budget adherence, and optimize equipment/labor costs.
Interact with local agencies for customer satisfaction, efficiency, and contract negotiations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant experience.
4 years of supervisory/P&L responsibility experience.
Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
Work experience in a minimum of two of the following areas: operations, customer service, community relations, health and safety protocols, financial and human resources functions, safety programs oversight, budget management, and labor relations.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
