SUMMARY: This job encompasses all aspects of general labor in the production process and varies based on the department assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Uses work order for specifications on how specific tasks are to be performed. Uses appropriate drawings to assemble parts and/or products. Must be able to read and understand blueprints/drawings/schematics Checks stock for adequate supplies, picks parts, and follows proper procedures for shortages. Assures that tools used in department process are properly adjusted and maintained. Ability to work with hand, air, and electric power tools. Meet daily housekeeping requirements. Understand and practice Jetway quality policies and procedures. Ability to understand all required tasks in assigned area. Ability to move to an available classified position once necessary skills are developed. Ability to perform specific duties as assigned in department. Candidate should have or be prepared to acquire any certifications required by the Company. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16". REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: May be required to obtain any of the following licenses: forklift, and overhead crane license. COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic knowledge of Syteline and other programs as necessary.
