What We Are Looking For We are seeking a Heavy Machine Operator for our San Diego location. The Heavy Machine Operator will work on the construction of landfill gas collection systems and other environmental pollution control systems. How You Can Make an Impact Operate Heavy Machinery: Use excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, and other materials. Forklift experience required. Support Pipe Installation: Assist with the installation of piping for landfill gas collection by clearing earth, plants, and debris that cannot be removed by hand. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely. Transport Materials: Operate dump trucks and other hauling equipment to transport waste from excavation sites to designated areas. Prepare Work Sites: Clear and prepare sites for drilling and other construction activities, ensuring equipment is properly set up and stabilized. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. Assist with Drilling Operations: Help with the setup and operation of drilling equipment, including the placement and securing of drilling materials. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1year+ experience operating heavy machinery in a construction or industrial environment. Mechanical Skills: Experience in the maintenance and minor repair of heavy machinery. Outdoor Work: Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Travel: Willingness to travel as required for job assignments. Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry equipment and mechanical components (up to 50 lbs unassisted), operate heavy machinery, and perform tasks that require physical stamina, such as climbing ladders and working from man lifts.
