Posting Details Position Title Laboratory Technician Job Category Staff Office/Department Biology Work Environment Onsite Location Evergreen Main Campus Staff Job Type Full-time If Temporary or Visiting, Estimated End Date: Position Summary and Duties The laboratory technician performs tasks associated with laboratory preparation (e.g., ordering supplies, preparing reagents, checking equipment, organizing supplies, setting up and breaking down labs, scheduling field trips) correctly and in a timely manner. Prepares and maintains inventories of biological materials (mammalian cell cultures, DNA, bacteria and reagents) for research and instructional labs. Trains faculty, staff, and students on proper waste management procedures and safety protocols and enforces EPA regulations. Maintains, calibrates and cleans regular lab equipment. Assigns appropriate lab preparations to student workers based student availability and expertise.
