The Work: Precise Diagnostic/Analytic Testing: Conducts precise diagnostic and analytic testing while collecting specimens. Interprets, documents, and reports test results. Quality Control and Maintenance: Performs and evaluates quality control testing, executing instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Verification of Analytic Accuracy: Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, and sensitivity for test methods. Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills when collaborating with laboratory personnel, internal stakeholders, and external customers. Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Utilizes problem-solving and critical thinking skills to ensure quality management standards are met. You Have: Education: A bachelor's degree or Graduate of an accredited program is required. Certifications: One of the following certifications is strongly preferred within 6 months of hire: Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists- Medical Laboratory Technician: MLT (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist: MLS or MT (ASCP); or Certification by American Medical Technologists - Medical Laboratory Technician: MLT (AMT) or Medical Technologist: MT (AMT). Flexibility: A degree of flexibility is a requirement, including weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations.
