This Laboratory Technical Coordinator is a f ront-line leadership position that is responsible for technical operations management of the clinical laboratory. As a Lab Tech Coordinator, you will provide oversight of clinical laboratory technical and preanalytic processes. Lab Tech Coordinator also ensures laboratory follows established policies, procedures, and processes, and complies with regulatory requirements (eg, CLIA, CAP, TJC, and OSHA).


The Lab Tech Coordinator leaders provide a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to testing and clinical relevance. Performs general clinical laboratory testing as needed. Serves as a laboratory liaison with other laboratory departments and hospital services. Functions in a self-directed manner, and exhibits effective communication and advanced problem solving skills.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified Laboratory Technical Coordinators will need the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical laboratory, chemical or biological science, required
  • 2 years MLS/MT or MLT work experience in the clinical laboratory required.
  • MLS with ASCP certification, or MT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty ASCP certification in the assigned department required.

Light Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently

St. Elizabeth Hospital, located in Fort Morgan, Colorado, is a Level 3 Trauma Center and an American College of Cardiology Accredited Chest Pain Center serving northeastern Colorado. Providing care through-out the region, St. Elizabeth Hospital provides cardiology, maternal, emergency, surgical, pediatrics, and acute care inpatient services in addition to the multitude of subspecialists in our specialty clinic. At 50 beds, St. Elizabeth is the region's referral center serving a wide span of northeastern Colorado. Pay Range:

$37.76 - $58.71 / hour
