Overview Element Materials Technology Boston - Acton, Inc. is looking for a full-time Laboratory Support Technician to support our microbiology testing laboratory. The Laboratory Support Technician will be responsible for receiving client samples, and the performance of all duties associated with the sample receipt process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and interested in working exclusively in a laboratory setting. Responsibilities Sample Receipt Process Receive client samples Perform all duties associated with sample receipt process Temperature Checks - Incubators, Refrigerators, Freezer Balance Calibrations Checks - Ohaus Chart Recorders Equipment Cleaning - incubators, refrigerators, freezer Monthly Calibration Checks - pipettes, Mettler Toledo balance Maintain the Equipment Calibration Program Scheduling Certificate review Tracking list Follows current GMP requirements and complies with company safety policies As Needed Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Document Control Department with filing/scanning Assist with report creation Other duties as required Skills / Qualifications High School Diploma or Associate degree in biological science or related science field Experience working in a regulated environment (GLP or GMP) Ability to make basic mathematical computations Ability to operate in a detail-oriented, self-directed manner Ability to work independently and within a team Physical Demands Able to lift boxes and general office supplies weighing up to 25 pounds Hear, speak and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and writteninstructions, in order to communicate with people inside and outside the organization Apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding, common laboratory procedures, andoffice equipment use and to review detailed data and information Move around the lab repeatedly throughout the day, including being on your feet for extended periods oftime Company Overview Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
