Laboratory Assistant

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Phlebotomy performs and reports waived and moderately complex laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology and microbiology;

Processes specimens for clinical analysis, phlebotomy;

Assists the technologists;

Reacts to change productivity; and handles other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED - From an accredited educational institution.

Preferred:

Completion of a structured or accredited Clinical Assistant training program.

2 years - Phlebotomist experience.

1 year - Waived testing experience.
