Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions has an opening for a Laboratory Technician based in the Tomball, TX Technology Center. This role will provide analytical testing support for the Customer Analytical Services Laboratory.Position Title: Laboratory TechnicianEssential Responsibilities General Responsibilities- Perform daily analyses per Standard Operating Procedures guidelines
- Meet established due dates for all work assigned
- Ensure quality of all results through adherence to the Quality Management System requirements
- Follow all EHS policies and procedures
- Provide support for other laboratory areas as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements- Associates degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related field
- Analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including both Google and MS Office products
Desired Characteristics- B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related science
- Prior experience performing analyses for industrial water or process systems
- Experience using a LabWare or similar LIMS
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 (or similar) certified organization
- Skilled in one or more of the following areas: spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, spectrophotometry, microscopy, electrochemistry, filtrations, extractions, gravimetry, chromatography
