We are seeking a Lab Technician for Research and Development at our corporate office in Auburn Hills, MI.
Essential Job Functions:
- Testing of composite materials to support company and customer requirements.
- Testing of Coatings and Adhesives for composite products
- Evaluation of raw materials for use in Sheet Molding Compound (SMC).
- Physical and mechanical property testing of composite materials.
- Analyze defects in molded products using microscopic analysis.
- Collect data from laboratory and plant trials.
- Prepare and distributes applicable technical reports.
- Document necessary data relating to new raw materials for product approvals, in-plant trials and laboratory SMC formulations.
- As directed, perform research, testing, data gathering, measurements, or engineering analysis in an office, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
- Performs documented repetitive testing or tasks under limited supervision.
- Responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree is preferred or High School Diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a self-starter and independent problem solver.
