Position Summary To determine mixed compound acceptance based on analytical tests including rheology, durometer, specific gravity, tensile, elongation, modulus and viscosity testing as defined on documented work instructions. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Run tests (rheology, durometer, specific gravity, tensile, elongation, modulus, and viscosity) to determine material properties and determine if passing according to customer requirements. Measure and add final batch chemicals to the test sample on the lab mill. Collect test results using a network of computers to generate a final test report for each batch. Document test failures, place on hold and communicate with the Quality Manager for final disposition. Responsible for product audits, as required. Support Strategic and Quality goals. Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management. Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements Associate Degree in related field, preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. Two (2) years' laboratory testing experience, desired. Must have math analytical skills. Ability to work independently in support of shift priorities. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to facilitate cross-functional results. Good computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). Good cooperation and collaboration skills. Attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant. Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to interact well in a team environment with all personality types. Strong problem-solving skills.
