The Position: We are looking for a Director of Mental Health Services, who is willing to embrace McKinleys mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Director of Mental Health Services is responsible for overseeing the Los Angeles Mental Health Department, and ensure the treatment philosophy is adhered to and implemented. Ensure that the department is in full regulatory compliance and that best clinical practices are utilized. Compensation and Benefits: The pay range were offering is $95,000- $105,000 annually depending (Based) on experience. Word Processing, Email, internet Ability to learn clinical software, basic office skills (i.e. typing, telephone, copier) Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening Ability to commute to various sites on and off campus Ability to work extended hours as needed Ability to physically restrain children (if needed) DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index Insurability Under Corporate Automobile Insurance Key Responsibilities: Ensure that the Clinical Services Department is in full regulatory compliance and that clinical services are delivered in accordance with recognized best practices. Provide clinical supervision for Clinical staff in accordance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards and agency policy. Supervise Clinical Supervisors Supervise Intern Supervisor for Los Angeles County. Oversee the LA county TBS program Demonstrate an ability to set limits and intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the children and families served. Work with other Department managers to increase clear communication and mutual support among, and programs. Monitor and assure adherence of programs to all governing bodies. Monitor case records to assure that required treatment documentation is included and meets agency and professional standards and is completed in a timely manner. Monitor and review all agency protocols and practices, including containment's, one-on-ones and hospitalizations. Actively participate in the agencys Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plan. Assume responsibility for quality control and outcome measures as assigned. Hire, supervise and evaluate professional staff and cultivate effective team operation. Monitor all aspects of the mental health program to assure that the physical, social, and psychological needs of the children are met. Provide direct social work services as needed. Ensure compliance to regulations set forth by Los Angeles and other County Departments of Mental Health as well as other state and federal agencies and accreditation bodies. Work with administrative and program staff to provide culturally competent systems of care. Provide training to directors and supervisors. Assure the implementation of a comprehensive training program. Participate in the monitoring of the annual budget as well as monitoring expenses throughout the year. Facilitate, when needed and monitor new hire orientation for all mental health staff when needed. Other related duties as assigned. Why Should You Apply?
